Monday morning is a tough time for many of us. It’s hard to get into the groove of returning to work or school after enjoying the weekend off. One thing that can make a trying day even worse is to have your vehicle stolen, like this San Diego, CA resident who found his 2008 Lexus IS F gone from where he had parked it the night before. It’s a good thing that he had the LoJack® system installed when he purchased his Lexus, so local law enforcement was able to track his car down in less than 90 minutes after activation!

On May 20th, 2013, the IS F’s owner of a 2008 Lexus IS F contacted San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Lexus, which was installed at Lexus of Riverside, CA.

A short while later, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the homing signals from the Lexus on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers tracked the vehicle to a residential neighborhood on San Blas Street in San Diego, where they found the vehicle parked and abandoned. The IS F, valued at approximately $34,275, was soon returned to its relieved owner.
