Whether you use your truck for work, for transportation, or just for fun, having it stolen is a major headache. An excellent cure for this pain is having the LoJack® system installed when buying your car, as this owner did, so his local police could locate it only 39 minutes after activation.

On May 15th, 2013, the owner of a Ford F-350 pickup contacted Fresno Police to report that their vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the truck, which was installed at Frontier Ford in Santa Clara, CA.

A short time later, an investigator with Fresno HEAT (the Fresno County Auto Theft Task Force) picked up the homing signals from the Ford with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his undercover vehicle. The investigator tracked the vehicle to an industrial area in northwest Fresno. The F-350 was found abandoned on the side of the road, partially concealed by brush and trees. After a brief surveillance, the pickup was recovered and soon returned to its grateful owner.
