When a customer chooses to have the LoJack® system installed in a new vehicle, it requires thinking about an event you hope never happens. No one wants to think that their car, truck, motorcycle or van may ever be stolen. Unfortunately, this occurs all too often, and, as the old saying goes, it’s better to be safe than sorry. We’re sure the owner of this 2013 Ford F-150 Super Crew Cab would agree, as police were able to retrieve it for him in less than two hours after the LoJack unit was activated!

On May 28th, 2013, the Ford truck’s owner contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department-Santa Clarita Station, to report that her leased vehicle was stolen. LASD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the F-150, which was installed at Galpin Ford in North Hills, CA

A short time later, LASD-Santa Clarita officers picked up the homing signal from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their police units. The officers located the Ford in the Santa Clarita area, where it was found parked and unoccupied. The F-150, which was valued at $40,920, was soon returned to its grateful owner.
