In this case, a Mack Dump Truck is stolen early Sunday morning, and, thanks to local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® System, it’s recovered by lunchtime.

On May 12th, 2013, the dump truck’s owners contacted Miami-Dade Police to report that their vehicle was stolen from their yard. The responding officer entered the truck’s information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Mack.

A short while later, Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies picked up the homing signal from the stolen Mack dump truck on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their patrol vehicles. They located the vehicle near Hannah Avenue North and 3rd Street in Lehigh Acres. The vehicle was recovered and soon returned to its very grateful owners.
