In this case, the owners of a Chevrolet Suburban are the victims of auto theft for the second time in four years- and just like the first incident, their vehicle is recovered swiftly- in only 82 minutes- by local law enforcement helped by the LoJack® system!

On May 29th, 2013, the Suburban’s owners contacted Fontana, CA Police to report their vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Chevy, which was installed at Felix Chevrolet Cadillac in Los Angeles, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from Whittier PD and surrounding areas picked up the homing signal from the Suburban on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Chevy was tracked to a restaurant parking lot. The vehicle was empty but a witness pointed out the person he had seen driving the Suburban earlier. The suspect was located in a restaurant and taken into custody. The car keys were found in a nearby trash can. The Suburban was soon returned to its very happy owners.
