We are always very happy to report whenever a stolen car, truck, van, motorcycle or construction machine is recovered by law enforcement assisted by the LoJack® system. It’s especially great when a LoJack recovery enables the police to discover other stolen vehicles as well, as in this case, and it only takes 42 minutes after activation!

On Friday morning, May 24th, 2013, the staff of a Sweetwater engineering company arrived and discovered that the lock and chain on their gate had been broken, and two of their Mack Dump Trucks had been stolen, one of which had a LoJack unit installed. The company owners contacted Sweetwater, FL Police Department to report the theft. Police entered the truck’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Mack.

A short while later, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper picked up the homing signal from the stolen truck on their on-board LoJack tracking computer. The officer called for backup, and located the dump truck in Cutler Bay. The other stolen truck was recovered nearby. Both Macks were soon returned to the very appreciative owners.
