Here’s a story that proves the LoJack® system works, even if the circumstances are a little different than our usual case. The car involved was still recovered by law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, in only one hour and six minutes!

On May 28th, 2013, a salesperson at a dealership attempted to show a customer a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro convertible, but was not able to find the vehicle on the lot. The manager of the dealership contacted the Punta Gorda Police to report that their vehicle was stolen. The responding officer entered the Camaro’s information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the convertible.

A short while later, a Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputy picked up the homing signal from the Camaro on the LoJack tracking computer installed on his patrol vehicle. The officer called for backup, and quickly located the Chevy inside a shop where its convertible top was being repaired. The dealership’s service manager had forgotten to notify the sales staff of this appointment. Everyone at the dealership was happy to know the Camaro was safe and sound.
