Talk about a rude awakening! This New Jersey resident was woken up from a sound sleep by noise in his driveway and, when he looked outside, his 2009 Nissan Altima was gone! On May 19th, 2013, the Altima’s owner called the Camden County, NJ Police to report that his vehicle had been stolen. CCPD officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit in the Altima, which was installed at Cherry Hill Nissan in Cherry Hill, NJ, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, a CCPD officer picked up the homing signal from the Nissan on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. He spotted the stolen car traveling on Route 30 heading toward Philadelphia. With assistance from the Delaware River Bridge Authority Police, the Altima was stopped at the toll plaza on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and the two occupants were arrested. The Nissan was soon returned to its very happy owner.
