The owners of a Lexus ES 300 were happy to be visiting Myrtle Beach, SC, but that happiness quickly faded when their car was stolen from the hotel parking lot. It’s a good thing that these victims chose to have the LoJack® system installed when they bought their Lexus, especially since this was the second time their car had been stolen and retrieved using the LoJack device!

On May 18th, 2013, the ES300’s owners contacted Myrtle Beach police to report that their vehicle was stolen from a hotel parking lot. Myrtle Beach PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Lexus, which was installed at Nalley Lexus in Roswell, GA.

A short while later, Horry County PD officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen Lexus on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to a parking lot, where the ES300 was found intact. The car was soon returned to its grateful owners.
