The owner of this Chevrolet truck had put in a lot of work restoring it, so he was heartbroken when the vehicle was taken from his Conyers, Georgia home while he was at work. Luckily, the owner had the LoJack® system added to the Chevy as well, so his local police were able to track it down in just 91 minutes after activation.

On May 1st, 2013, the Chevy’s owner called Conyers Police to report that his truck was missing. The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the vehicle, which was installed at Nash Chevrolet in Winder, GA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, a Georgia State Patrol trooper began receiving a homing signal from the stolen truck on the LoJack tacking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. He tracked the Chevy to a rural area where it was parked in the driveway of an abandoned home. Police suspect the thieves left the truck there to ‘cool off’ before moving it to a different location. The owner was very glad that his truck was recovered in good condition and with no damage.
