Washington, DC may be the center of our nation’s government, but proximity to power does not deter vehicle thieves. This Chrysler Town & Country minivan was recovered in only 92 minutes, thanks to the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department, assisted by the LoJack® system.

On May 9th, 2013, the Town & Country’s owners contacted DC Metro police to report that their vehicle was stolen from Eastern Avenue NE. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Chrysler, which was installed at Enterprise Car Sales in Rockville, Maryland.

A short while later, DC Metro officers picked up the homing signals from the Chrysler on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the minivan to an alley off Van Buren Street NW, where it was found parked and unoccupied. The Town & Country was soon returned to its very relieved owners.
