The owner of this Dodge Caravan minivan spent a lot of money and effort to make it handicap-accessible, so after it was stolen once, he had the LoJack® system installed so if it ever happened again, he would be prepared and the police would have an advantage in tracking it down.

On May 19th, 2013, the Caravan’s owner reported to Avondale Estates, GA police that it had been stolen from a parking lot overnight. The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the vehicle.

Within just a short time, a Georgia State Patrol trooper began receiving a homing signal from the Caravan on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. He tracked the van to an apartment complex and found the Dodge parked near an abandoned unit. The Dodge had only minor damage and was soon returned to its grateful owner.
