This case involves the theft of a 2012 GMC Canyon pickup truck from the owner’s residence, believed to be taken by ‘someone that he knows’, according to the victim. Another thing the truck owner knows now is that he made the right decision to have the LoJack® system installed when he bought his Canyon, as it helped Pueblo, CO police locate his vehicle in only 47 minutes after activation.

On March 19th, 2013, the GMC’s owner contacted the Pueblo PD to report that his vehicle was stolen from his home, likely by an acquaintance. The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This action activated the LoJack unit concealed in the truck, which was installed at Dale Spradley Motors in Pueblo West, CO.

Just minutes later, some Pueblo PD officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen Canyon on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers quickly tracked and recovered the truck, much to the relief of its owner.
