What makes a stolen vehicle recovery by police and the LoJack® system even better? It’s when the perpetrator is apprehended as well. On February 28th, 2013, the owners of a Ford Explorer contacted the Denver Police to report that their vehicle had been stolen. The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computer. The LoJack unit installed in the Explorer, which was installed at Automotive Avenues in Lakewood, CO, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers with the Denver PD and investigators from the Metro Auto Theft Task Force picked up the homing signals from the Ford with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to Steele Street where it was recovered and one suspect was arrested. The Explorer was soon returned to its grateful owner.
