Law enforcement relies on the LoJack® System to assist them in getting stolen cars back to their owners quickly. In this case, the Passaic County, NJ Sheriff’s office retrieved a stolen Audi A4 in just 36 minutes after activation.

On May 3rd, 2013, the Audi’s owner contacted the Paterson PD to report that his vehicle had been stolen from his driveway.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Audi, which was installed at Autoland in Springfield, NJ, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, a patrol officer from the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signals coming from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. He tracked the vehicle to Paterson, where he spotted it traveling on West Broadway occupied by two suspects. The Audi was stopped and the suspects arrested.  The A4 was soon returned to its relieved owner.
