The LoJack® System Helps Galveston County, Texas Sheriff’s Department Recover Stolen Lexus 300

One of the benefits of the LoJack® system is rapid recovery- the faster you get your vehicle back, the less time the thief has to damage or relocate it.  In this case, a stolen Lexus 300 was recovered the same day it was taken- to the great relief of its owners.

On May 1st, 2013, the 300’s owners contacted the Texas City Police to report their vehicle was stolen from their driveway overnight. TCPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Lexus, which was installed at Park Place Lexus in Plano, TX, was then immediately activated.

A short while later, officers from the Dickinson Police Department and the Galveston County Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signals from the stolen Lexus on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to a public street where the Lexus was parked and abandoned. The Lexus was soon returned to its grateful owners.
