When you purchase a minivan, there is usually a good reason why you did. You probably have lots of hauling to do, whether it’s driving your children to their various activities, or moving lots of cargo. Having your vehicle taken is extremely inconvenient, which is why this San Diego, CA based owner of a stolen Honda Odyssey was glad he had the LoJack® System installed- so his local police could track it down quickly and he could get back to his everyday duties.

On April 30th, 2013, the Odyssey’s owner contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence. SDPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Lexus Kearny Mesa in San Diego, CA.

A short while later, SDPD officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen minivan on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers tracked the vehicle and observed as it was traveling on Interstate 5 in National City.  The Honda was stopped and two suspects were arrested. The undamaged Odyssey was soon returned to its very happy owner.
