Here we have another example of police air and ground units joining forces to track a stolen vehicle with the help of the LoJack® system- three great resources that work together for even greater results.

On May 6th, 2013, the owners of a Cadillac Escalade contacted the Lakewood, CO Police to report that their vehicle had been stolen overnight from their driveway.  The Lakewood PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Escalade, which was installed at Boulder Nissan in Boulder, CO.

A short while later, a Colorado State Patrol aircraft picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV with their onboard LoJack tracking computer. The trooper/pilot tracked the vehicle and alerted ground units. The vehicle began moving and the ground officers tracked it to Lakewood, where it was found unoccupied and undamaged. The Escalade was soon returned to its grateful owners.
