Is there anything worse than having a vehicle stolen? How about having TWO vehicles stolen? These residents of Oxnard, California experienced this unfortunate situation recently.

On April 24th, 2013, the owners of a 2009 Acura TSX contacted the Oxnard Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a parking stall at their residence. Also stolen was another non-LoJack-equipped car. The key to the TSX was found inside that vehicle. Oxnard PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Acura, which was installed at Gold Coast Acura in Ventura, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, Oxnard patrol officers picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their police units. The officers tracked the TSX to the area of Citrus Grove Blvd and Oxnard Blvd., and pursued the vehicle until it stopped. Two suspects fled but were later arrested. Officers recovered property from the other car and were able to link both stolen vehicles together. The Acura was soon returned to its relieved owners. The second stolen car was found two days later.
