No one is happy to find out that their car, truck or motorcycle has been stolen. A stolen vehicle owner CAN be glad that they had the LoJack® System installed, to give their local police a welcome advantage in tracking their property quickly. In this case, a stolen Toyota Tundra was located in only five minutes!

On April 26th, 2013, the Tundra’s owners contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to report their vehicle had been stolen. LASD deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the truck, which was installed at North County Toyota in Anaheim, CA.

Within minutes of activation, deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Stanton Station picked up the homing signal from the Toyota on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their patrol vehicle.  They tracked the Tundra to the 11800 block of Beach Blvd where they located it parked at a food store.  The suspect walked out of the store, entered the vehicle and drove off.  Deputies stopped the Tundra and took the suspect into custody. The undamaged truck was soon returned to its happy owner.
