In this case, some Las Vegas residents lost more than some change in a slot machine, or their appetite at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Their Scion XB was stolen from their home.  Luckily, these victims didn’t gamble- they had the LoJack® System installed in their car- something the thief wasn’t betting on!  The Scion was recovered in only 52 minutes.

The owner of the XB discovered the vehicle stolen from their residence late in the afternoon of April 29th, 2013, and promptly contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. The LVMP verified the theft, and then entered the VIN (vehicle identification number) into their stolen vehicle computer system. This procedure activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Scion, which was installed at Sierra Toyota of Lancaster, CA.

A short while later, a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper picked up the homing signal from the stolen vehicle on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his  patrol car. The trooper tracked the car to a residential neighborhood in northeast Las Vegas., where it was found abandoned and undamaged The XB was soon returned to its grateful owners.
