Wouldn’t it be great if your vehicle could call for help when it’s being stolen? That’s the premise behind the enhanced LoJack® Early Warning System. The driver has a key pass to carry when operating their car, truck, van, SUV or motorcycle. When the vehicle is moved without the key pass, the owner gets phone calls, texts and emails letting them know, so that they can contact local police right away, and have their vehicle recovered that much sooner!

On April 17th, 2013, the owner of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra received an Early Warning Alert from LoJack advising him that his vehicle was moving.  He contacted the Lacey, Washington police who verified the theft and entered the vehicle identification number into their state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Hyundai, which was installed at Titus-Will Hyundai in Olympia, WA.

A short while later, Lacey PD officers received the homing signal transmitting from the Hyundai on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol cars.  They quickly located the car at 53rd Avenue SE and Parkside Drive, where it was recovered abandoned and undamaged. The Elantra was soon returned to its relieved owner.
