What can make a good morning turn bad? How about waking up and finding your vehicle missing from where you parked it the night before? This resident of Anacortes, WA had the good sense to have the LoJack® System installed when she purchased her Honda Element, which made this bad situation a lot better.

On the evening of April 18th, 2013, the owner parked her SUV at her residence at approximately 10 PM. When she awoke the next morning, it was gone.  She contacted the Anacortes Police Department, who entered the Element’s VIN (vehicle identification number) into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Klein Honda in Everett, Washington.

Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force (SNOCAT) detectives received the homing signal from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their patrol vehicles. Within a few minutes, they located the Honda a short distance from where it was stolen. The Element was soon returned to its owner.
