‘Like a thief in the night’ is an expression often used to describe something that happens quietly and without warning. This California motorcycle owner understands exactly what it means- her bike was taken sometime between dusk and dawn from her apartment parking lot. Luckily, she had the LoJack® System installed, so the police could turn the tables and sneak up on the crook!

On the morning of April 20th, 2013, the victim noticed her 2008 Kawasaki ZX10 missing and contacted San Jose, California police, who verified the crime information and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Kawasaki, which was installed at Long Beach Motorsports in Long Beach, CA.

In a very short time, San Jose officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen motorcycle with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. They located the Kawasaki in the rear carport of a residence in West San Jose.  The suspect was arrested when he came out and attempted to ride the bike, and it was soon returned to its happy owner.
