A busy restaurant parking lot seems like an unlikely place for a car thief to strike- there are lots of people coming in and out, and it’s usually pretty well-lit. Unfortunately, this was not found to be true by an employee of a Lynnwood, Washington eatery.

On April 12th, 2013, this victim found her Acura Integra had been taken sometime over a three hour period as she was working. She contacted the Lynnwood, WA Police Department who entered the vehicle identification number (VIN) into their state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack® unit concealed in the Acura, which was installed at Klein Honda in Everett, WA.

Just a few minutes later, a Mountlake Terrace, WA officer received the homing signal transmitting from the stolen Acura on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol car.  He tracked the signal to an apartment complex parking lot where the Acura was found abandoned and undamaged. The Integra was soon returned to its grateful owner.
