It’s a known fact that when your car is stolen, time is of the essence. The quicker you get your vehicle back, the less amount of time the thief has to damage it. In this particular case, a Toyota Corolla stolen in California was retrieved in a little over an hour.

On April 11th, 2013, the owner of a 2006 Toyota Corolla contacted the Simi Valley, CA Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. Simi Valley PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Toyota, which was installed at Toyota of Simi Valley, CA.

A short time later, officers with the CHP-Moorpark Station picked up the homing signal from the Toyota on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their police vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to the area of Nelda Street and Rockdale Ave, where they observed the unattended vehicle parked on the street. The Corolla was soon returned to its very happy owner.
