You know you’re having a tough month when your vehicle is stolen TWICE! This Nissan Altima owner knew that installing the LoJack device® had been a good idea when Raleigh, NC police recovered his stolen car two times in 27 days.

On April 4th, 2013, the owner of a Nissan Altima was walking and flagged down a Raleigh, NC police to report that their vehicle was stolen from their apartment parking lot.  A friend had stayed the night, stolen the keys and taken the Nissan without the owner’s permission.  The Raleigh PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Altima, which was installed at Route 1 Nissan in Avenel, NJ.

A short while later, officers from the Raleigh PD picked up the homing signals from the Altima on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to East Martin Street and discovered the Nissan in the parking lot and occupied by the suspect, who was arrested. The undamaged car, which was also stolen on March 9th, 2013, and retrieved by Raleigh, NC police with the help of the LoJack System, was soon returned to its doubly lucky owner.
