A truck thief in Oklahoma thought a truck stop parking lot was a good place to stash a stolen Ford pickup, but thanks to police and the LoJack® System, his crime was stopped before he could move the vehicle further away.

On April 16th, 2013, the owner of a Ford F-250 pickup contacted the Oklahoma City Police Department to report the vehicle was stolen from a residence in Oklahoma City, OK. The Oklahoma City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack device in the truck, which was installed at Ford West in Bellflower, CA

A short while later, an Oklahoma City officer picked up the homing signal from the stolen Ford truck with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol unit. The officer was able to quickly locate the stolen Ford near I-40 and Morgan Road, parked and unoccupied in a truck stop lot.  It was soon returned to the owner in good condition.
