A town called ‘Pleasant Gardens’ sounds like a calm, mellow place where nothing bad ever happens. However, a great name does not provide protection when it comes to auto thieves and where they choose to attack. Luckily, the vehicle owners in our next story had the LoJack® System installed in their Infiniti to make the ordeal of having their car stolen a little more ‘pleasant’ when the car was located that same evening.

On April 6th, 2013, the owners of an Infiniti G35 contacted the Guilford County, North Carolina Sheriff’s Office to report that their vehicle was stolen from their single family residence in Pleasant Gardens.  The suspect was known by the victim and identified by law enforcement as someone with a past criminal history.

The Guilford County Sheriff Office verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit, which was installed at Smithtown Infiniti in Smithtown, NY, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, deputies of the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office received homing signals from the G35 on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their police vehicles. The deputies tracked the car to a residence on Florida Street and arrested the suspect. The undamaged Infiniti was soon returned to its happy owner.
