On April 8th , 2013, the owners of a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their truck was stolen from their residence.

Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® unit concealed in the Chevrolet pickup, which was installed at Baytown Ford in Baytown, TX.

A short while later, deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signals from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The deputies tracked the pickup to an area in North Harris County where it was parked and abandoned at a vacant house. The Silverado was soon returned to its owners.
