You would think that a truck would be too big for someone to sneak it out of your driveway, even in the middle of the night. You would think that, but you would be wrong.

On April 8th, 2013, the owners of a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residential driveway sometime during the night while they were sleeping..

Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack® unit concealed in the pickup, which was installed at Lone Star Ford in Houston, TX.

A short while later, deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the F-150 on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The deputies tracked the truck to Perry Road where it was found parked and abandoned on the street. It was soon returned to its owners.
