All it takes is a few short minutes. You may be asleep, online, watching television, playing with your kids, talking on the phone or reading. Someone sneaks onto your property and steals your vehicle. Afterwards, you may regret not paying better attention to your surroundings while this incident occurred. One thing you will not regret is that you chose to install a LoJack® system when you purchased your car.

On March 12, 2013, the owner of a 2008 Ford Edge contacted the Oceanside Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen from her driveway. Oceanside PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Edge, which was installed at Truck and SUV Superstore in El Cajon, CA.

Within a short while, officers from Oceanside PD Department picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers tracked and found the vehicle parked and abandoned at an apartment complex in Oceanside.  The undamaged vehicle was soon returned to its happy owner.
