When you are away from home, either vacationing or on business, you tend to think that everything is safe and secure while you are gone. This is not always the case. In this next story, a vehicle is taken while the owner is away, but this particular owner has two points in his favor- an observant dad and a LoJack® unit in his Honda!

On February 10th, 2013, the father of the owner of a Honda Accord contacted the Denver, Colorado Police Department to report that his son’s vehicle had been stolen while the son was out of town. The Denver PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Honda of Pasadena, California.

A short while later, Denver PD officers picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Honda with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. They were quickly able to track the vehicle to the 800 block of South Quebec and recovered the abandoned car, which was soon returned to its owner.
