It’s a great day when the LoJack® System tracks down not just one, but TWO Great Dane commercial trailers loaded with cargo, along with a tractor stolen in a separate incident. Read on to find out how this triple recovery took place.

On Friday morning, February 1, 2013, a business owner in Pompano Beach, Florida contacted the Broward County Sheriff’s Office to report the theft of two Great Dane trailers. Even worse, both trailers were loaded with a shipment! However, these trailers were also ‘loaded’ with the LoJack device for Commercial Vehicles.

When the police entered the trailers’ information into the state and federal crime computers, the LoJack units were automatically activated.  A short while later, a Miami-Dade Police Department sergeant, picked up a homing signal from one of the stolen trailers on his on-board LoJack tracking computer. The officer, along with backup, located the trailers in a storage yard in Medley. Both were recovered intact with their shipments, along with an International tractor attached to one of the trailers that was reported stolen out of Fort Lauderdale in a separate incident.
