On April 03, 2013 the owner of a 2012 Volvo C70 contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residential driveway. Officers immediately entered the vehicle information into their computer, which automatically activated the LoJack® unit concealed in the Volvo, which was installed at Volvo of Houston, TX.

A short while later, a Trooper from the Texas Department of Public Safety picked up the homing signals from the stolen Volvo on the LoJack tracking computer installed in the patrol vehicle, and was able to track the vehicle to an apartment complex near US 59 and Loop 527 where the Volvo was parked and abandoned. The vehicle, valued at $41,325, was quickly returned to its owner.
