When is everything not OK in Oklahoma? When an innocent person walks out of his residence to find his vehicle gone! This shocking turn of events occurred in Oklahoma City. However, this victim had one factor in his favor- there was a LoJack® unit installed when his Toyota Sequoia was purchased from Toyota of Richardson, TX.

When the Sequoia owner reported the theft to Oklahoma City Police, and the officer in turn entered the vehicle’s VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) into the computer, the LoJack device immediately began transmitting homing signals, which are sent to the LoJack tracking computers installed in many police vehicles.

A Deputy from the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s department and, a short while later, located the vehicle in the driveway of a private residence. Further investigation at the scene resulted in multiple arrests for drug charges and outstanding warrants in addition to possession of a stolen vehicle. The Sequoia was then returned to its owner.
