Avalon Gone- But Not For Long- Thanks to the LoJack® System!

Here’s another case that proves that a thief may take a vehicle away from its owner, but they won’t take it very far when it’s equipped with a LoJack® device!

On March 29, 2013, the owner of a 1996 Toyota Avalon contacted the Fairfax County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a residence in Chantilly, VA. The Fairfax County PD entered the vehicle information into their crime computer, which automatically activated the LoJack unit in the Toyota, which was installed at Ourisman Fairfax Toyota in Fairfax, VA, when the vehicle was purchased in 1995.

A short while later, officers from the Fairfax County PD picked up signals from the stolen Toyota on the LoJack tracker installed in their patrol vehicle, and were able to locate the vehicle being driven by a person who was stopped and placed under arrest.
