On the night of February 21, 2013, the owner of a 2010 Lincoln Continental MKX discovered her vehicle missing from the family driveway and immediately contacted the Chicago Police Department (CPD).  CPD officers arrived and after verifying the theft, entered the vehicle information into Leads/NCIC, the state and federal crime computer. This immediately activated the LoJack transponder concealed inside the Lincoln.

A short while later, a CPD sergeant began tracking the silent and audible signals emanating from the stolen Lincoln’s LoJack transponder on his LoJack Police Tracking Computer. The sergeant was able to track the vehicle directly to its location in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood where he observed two suspects inside the stolen vehicle. Both were arrested.

The customer had recently had her LoJack Vehicle Recovery System installed at Car Max in Oak Lawn, Illinois recently and is certainly happy she did.  With the help of LoJack, her stolen vehicle was recovered in less than two hours with no damage.
