On January 2, 2013, a 2007 Toyota Corolla was stolen from in front of the owner’s residence in Evanston, Illinois.  The Evanston Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Corolla.

Within minutes of activation, officers from the Glenwood Police Department began tracking the stolen vehicle with their on board Police Tracking Computers. Following the directional and signal strength cues from their LoJack computers, the officers located the undamaged vehicle, parked on the street.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Toyota Corolla at Grossinger Toyota in Lincolnwood, Illinois.  The owner credited LoJack with the swift recovery and undamaged return of his vehicle and very pleased he made the decision to have the system installed.
