On December 17, 2012, the owner of a 2013 Wells Fargo trailer contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that the trailer was stolen from their business in Dallas.

The Dallas Police Department verified the theft and entered the trailer’s information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the equipment.

A short while later, officers from the Dallas Police Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen trailer on the Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers tracked the stolen trailer to a house in southeast Dallas and found it parked in the front yard.  The owner of the house stated that she did not know how the trailer got there.  Her son is a known thief.  This is the second LoJack-equipped vehicle recovered at this house in the past six months.  This is an ongoing investigation.

The stolen Wells Fargo trailer was recovered with no damage.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the 2013 Wells Fargo on December 13, 2012 at Alpha Technologies.
