On August 20, 2012 the owner of a 2009 Cadillac CTS contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from residential driveway in Houston, Texas.

After Houston Police verified the theft, they had the Cadillac’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the vehicle.

A short while later, officers from Houston Police Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Cadillac on the Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers tracked the vehicle to a public street in Houston, Texas. There, the officers located the vehicle, parked and abandoned. They quickly recovered the Cadillac and requested that the owner retrieve the vehicle.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Cadillac CTS in July of 2008 at Crest Auto Group/MPP in PLANO, Texas.
