Denver Police Using LoJack Recover Stolen Ford Expedition, Locate & Arrest One Suspect

On June 17, 2012, the owners of a Ford Expedition contacted the Denver Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Denver officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Ford. 

A short while later, officers from the Denver Police Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Expedition with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) installed in their patrol vehicles.  he LoJack PTC provides officers with on-board information which permits them to locate the stolen vehicle quickly and with an increased margin of safety. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTCs the officers tracked the vehicle to the 1100 block of 24th Avenue where one suspect was located and arrested for auto theft.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Ford in September 2003 at Enterprise.
