On June 8, 2012, the owner of a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600 contacted the Prince Georges County Police Department to report that their motorcycle was stolen during a burglary from the 5100 block of Buchanan Street in the Hyattsville area of Prince Georges County, Maryland. Prince Georges County Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Suzuki.

A short while later, officers from the Prince Georges County Police Department picked up the silent Lojack homing signals from the stolen Suzuki on the Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 9600 block of Annapolis Road in the Lanham area of Prince Georges County, Maryland. There, the officers located and recovered the stolen Suzuki Motorcycle.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Suzuki in October of 2007 at Cycle World in Rosedale, Maryland.
