Denver Police Recover Ford Fusion Stolen from Owner's Residence Minutes Earlier

On the morning of January 27, 2012, the owners of a 2010 Ford Fusion contacted the Denver Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from their home.
After gathering all of the pertinent information, Denver Police had the stolen Ford’s information entered into the state and federal crime databases. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the vehicle. Neither the owners nor law enforcement agents had to take any further action to activate the LoJack network, as LoJack’s interface with police is both seamless and instantaneous.
Minutes later, officers with the Denver Police Department received the silent homing signals from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in their patrol cars. Following the directional and signal strength cues on the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Ford to the 1300 block of West Mississippi Avenue. There, it was recovered abandoned and returned to the owner.
The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Ford Fusion at the owner’s request in April 2010.
