Denver Police Recover Stolen Cadillac Escalade in Minutes Using LoJack

On the evening of February 29, 2012, a Denver police officer on routine patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from a stolen vehicle in his vicinity on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in his patrol car. When he queried the code appearing on the PTC against the police computer database, he was informed that he was tracking a 2005 Cadillac Escalade that had been reported stolen to the Denver Police Department just minutes earlier.
Following the directional and signal strength cues on the PTC, and using a description of the stolen Escalade, the officer tracked the vehicle to the 1900 block of Blake Street. There, the officer located the Escalade, parked and abandoned. He quickly recovered the vehicle, in good condition, and returned the car at the scene to a very relieved owner.
This Cadillac Escalade had been installed with the LoJack Vehicle Recovery System at the request of the owner in August 2005.
