LoJack System Installed Two Months Prior Enables Quick Recovery of Toyota Camry Stolen in New Jersey

On the morning of January 18, 2012, the owner of a 2011 Toyota Camry contacted the Roselle Police Department to report the vehicle stolen.

The reporting officer prepared a stolen vehicle report and had the stolen Toyota’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Camry and initiated the tracking of the vehicle.

Less than an hour later, officers from the Roselle Police Department began to pick up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Camry on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the computer’s cues, the officers quickly tracked and located the stolen Toyota.

The LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed just two months earlier at Route 22 Toyota Inc. Hillside, NJ on November 26, 2012.
