Another Quick LoJack Recovery in Anne Arundel County

In the early morning hours of December 26, 201, the owner of a 2010 Toyota Corolla contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report the vehicle stolen from the 5600 block of Frankford Avenue in Baltimore City. 

Baltimore City Police responded to the scene, prepared a stolen vehicle report and had the stolen Toyota’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Toyota and initiated the tracking of the vehicle.

A short time later, detectives assigned to the Regional Auto Theft Team received the silent LoJack homing signal from the stolen Toyota on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers(PTC) installed in their vehicles. Following the directional and audible signal of the PTC, detectives tracked the signal to the area of the 3000 block of Presstman Street in Baltimore City. There, they observed the stolen Toyota parked and unoccupied. The detectives quickly recovered the undamaged vehicle, and returned it to the owner.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Toyota Corolla at the new car buyer’s request in November 2010.
