Stolen Suzuki Motorcycle Found Abandoned on Street in San Francisco By Police Using LoJack

On January 7, 2012, the owner of a 2005 Suzuki R600, called the San Francisco Police Department to report the theft of his motorcycle.
San Francisco Police responded to the scene, prepared a stolen vehicle report and had the stolen Suzuki’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Suzuki and initiated the tracking of the motorcycle.
Less than 3 hours later, officers from the San Francisco Police Department began to pick up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Suzuki on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers in their vehicles. Following the computer cues, the officers located the stolen motorcycle on the street, abandoned and undamaged except for a broken ignition lock. The owner was contacted to reclaim his motorcycle.
The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Suzuki on March 1, 2007.
