On February 9, 2013, the owner of a GMC Yukon contacted the Mount Vernon Police Department, located in Westchester County, to report his vehicle was stolen while parked in his driveway. Mt. Vernon Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder
