Illinois State Patrol Use LoJack to Recover Chevrolet Impala Stolen in Chicago

On September 5, 2012, the owner of a 2010 Chevrolet Impala contacted the Chicago Police Department to report that the vehicle was stolen from her residential driveway overnight. Chicago Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Impala.
